" On Wednesday, the Bank of Canada will begin circulating a new $20 bill made of polymer instead of paper.

The bill will be formally introduced in a ceremony at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa by Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty and Veterans Affairs Minister Steven Blaney.

The Bank of Canada began issuing polymer money a year ago with a new $100 bill, followed by a $50 note in March.
New $5 and $10 notes are scheduled to be issued by the end of 2013. "

Psychics
" Joe Nickell, a former stage musician who writes for the U.S. Skeptical Inquirer, said psychics will often "retro-fit" the information they supply so it jibes with the outcome.
If a body is found near a river, a psychic could take credit for mentioning "water" during a reading, said Nickell. If the body was instead found inland, but on a street with a nautical name such as Maritime Drive, the psychic could claim success in that instance, too.
"It's a form of after-the-fact matching", Nickell said.
There is no scientific evidence to support psychic's claims, but some may genuinely believe they possess paranormal abilities, he added.
"The person who is doing it ... may just have a fantasy-prone personality", he said. "

Festival de magie de Québec Septembre 2012
"Le tout démarrera par un grand gala de magie, le jeudi 30 août, à 20h, à l'Imperial de Québec Une dizaine de magiciens aux styles variés tenteront alors d'épater la galerie en présentant leurs meilleurs numéros. Le spectacle sera animé par Les 3 de pique, un duo dynamique qui détonne en mariant magie, humour, et interaction avec les spectateurs. Luc Langevin sera de la partie, de même que Ekaterina Dobrokhotova, l'une des rares femmes à exercer le métier de magicienne.

Meilleur meilleur meilleur
Ce soir, à télé de Radio-Canada, un nouveau spécial de Luc: Aux limites de l'illusion, comme par magie, à 21 heures.
Un seul mot WoW ... une des plus grandes émissions de magie que j'ai eu la chance de voir à vie!
Il faut souligner l'intelligence, la finesse des tours et de leurs présentations. J'ai souvent dit à Luc qu'il était extraordinaire dans l'enchaînement des tours et dans la manière des présenter, mais là ... à ces deux items on ajoute l'inédit. Il faut aussi souligner la grandeur et l'élégance de la magie malgré un cadre relativement simple. Un spécial qui mérite de faire le tour du monde ... à quand les États-Unis?
